A Webapp, https://kumbhlocator.esri.in/, has been launched by Esri India to help pilgrims navigate and enjoy their visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela. The Webapp is available in both Hindi and English. Mela lodgings, snan ghats, parking, roads (with real-time traffic), weather updates, entry and exit locations, lost and found centers, e-rikshaw kiosks, police stations, fire stations, hospitals, etc are all covered through the GIS-based Webapp. The Maha Kumbh Mela is being held from January 13 to February 26, 2025. It is likely to attract 40 crore attendees from all the corners of this world, spread on a vast area measuring more than 4,000 hectares along the riverside in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. On the first day of the Maha Kumbh Mela, over 1.65 crore pilgrims visited the Sangam to take a sacred dip on Paush Purnima.
