IIT Mandi PRAYAS 3.0: Training in Robotics, AI, and IoT

PRAYAS 3.0 (Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students) is the new name for the third edition of the flagship training program by IIT Mandi. The course is meant to provide students with practical skills in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) by having them work with the technology directly. IIT Mandi’s Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organises PRAYAS 3.0, a standout project-based training program. By focusing on useful skills and knowledge that the industry needs, the course readies students for changes in the technology job market.

The PRAYAS 3.0 program at IIT Mandi is valuable for students and youth because it offers practical training in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). IIT Mandi PRAYAS 3.0: What Will Students Learn?

The program relies a lot on learning through experience. Students will:

• Engage in real world projects that relate to embedded systems, machine learning, computer vision and IoT.
• You can use common software such as Arduino (for hardware programming), Python (for software development), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and the YOLO algorithm (for detecting objects).
• Get taught by experts from IIT Mandi and from the industry.

Students are challenged at the end by working on a final project to show off their new knowledge. People who do well will get certified by IIT Mandi.
