PUBG Mobile To Be Down Tomorrow, Will be Back With Sanhok Maps

There is a bitter sweet news for PUBG enthusiasts. The popular online multiplayer battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds more commonly known as PUBG, will be offline tomorrow from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm IST. However, good news is that PUBG Mobile will be back with the much awaited Sanhok Maps, which until now was available only in the PC mode  and Xbox, starting 12 September.

The game will also get new weapons that include an automatic rifle QBZ and a flare gun, and also two new vehicles. "PUBG MOBILE will be taken offline for maintenance from 00:00 - 08:00 (UTC) on Sep 11th. Server may be back online sooner or later depending on maintenance progress. As expected, the new version with Sanhok map will be released starting Sep 12th," tweeted the official handle of PUBG Mobile on Twitter.

This news has elated and excited PUBG fans across the world, who took to Twitter to express their happiness. PUBG has become highly popular in India within just six months of its release. It is one of the highest grossing apps on Google Play and the number one gaming app on iOS. PUBG has millions of daily active users across the world, and India is one of the top three countries that plays the game.

Recently PUBG entered a partnership with OPPO to launch PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2018 in India for Indian college students. The registrations for the game have started since 7 September and will end on 21 September. Players can check in from 22 to 23 September, and the first 10,000 teams to check-in will be qualified for the online qualifier, which starts on 26 September and ends on 5 October. The grand finale will take place offline in Bengaluru from 20 to 21 October.

The competition has a total prize pool of Rs 50 lakhs, wherein the first place winners will get Rs 15 lakhs, second place winners Rs 5 lakhs and third place winners Rs 3 lakhs. There is a cash price for winners up to the tenth place. Oppo Phones worth Rs 13,000 will also be given away to winners.
