- 50% marks obtained in class 8.
- 10% performance marks in the online quiz.
- Participation in science fairs (school/district/state & above level in the last 3 years)Rank in Olympiad or equivalent (1 to 3 rank in School/District/State & above level in the last 3 years).
- Winners of sports competitions (1 to 3 rank in School/District/State & above level in the last 3 years)
- Scout and Guides/NCC/NSS Membership in the last 3 years
- Studying in a Village/Rural School located in the Panchayat area
- Minimum participation ensured from each State/UT.
