The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has inked an MoU to form a significant partnership with international educational institutions. These institutions are renowned for their academic excellence and research facilities. The institute has formalized its collaboration with Dalhousie University in Canada and Gifu University in Japan on 3rd March 2024.
Some of the key highlights of these collaborations
- Joint Doctoral Program with Dalhousie University
IIT Guwahati and Dalhousie University have collaborated to offer a Joint Doctoral Program. This program facilitates dynamic research and collaboration between scholars and students from both institutions. This partnership aims to foster an academic environment through exchange programs for students and academic staff, joint research activities and shared research materials.
IIT Guwahati has signed three MoUs with Gifu University to conduct collaborative educational programs.
- International Joint Ph.D. Program
- International Masters Joint Degree Program in Food Science and Technology
- Glocal Expert Program
The symposium aimed to explore essential technical areas to accelerate bio-economic development in Japan and the Northeastern region of India. The event was witnessed by distinguished researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and young researchers from across India and Japan. The event was focused on providing insights into advanced research in food supply chains, sustainable technology, disaster management, and biomass utilization.
