DRDO Apprenticeship 2024: Applications Open till 9th April

DRDO apprenticeship program for the year 2024 has been announced. Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) operational under the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has announced openings for apprenticeship training across various disciplines for the year 2024-25. 

This apprenticeship program presents a valuable opportunity for aspiring engineers and professionals to gain hands-on experience and enhance their skills.

GTRE is a leading research institution operating under the Ministry of Defense and is dedicated to the advancement of gas turbine technology for defense applications.

The apprenticeship program offers positions for Graduate (Engineering and Non-Engineering), Diploma, and ITI Apprentice Trainees, catering to a diverse range of educational backgrounds and skill sets.

Shortlisting candidates will conduct the selection process based on their academic merit, written tests, and interviews as necessary. The process will include the following steps:

• Shortlisting
• Written test (if required)
• Personal Interview
• Document Verification
• Final Selection
• Notification of Shortlisted candidates
• Acceptance of Offer
• Medical Fitness
• Police verification
• Signing of contract

Selected candidates will receive stipends as per the government regulations providing them financial support during the training period. 

What is the application process for the DRDO Apprenticeship 2024?

The application process for the apprenticeship program at GTRE involves several steps. The steps are as follows:

•    Candidates need to register themselves on the respective portals:

      - For Engineering graduates and Diploma holders: Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme              (NATS) Website

      - For ITI candidates: Register on the Apprenticeship portal 

•    Visit the official website of DRDO or RAC and navigate to the apprenticeship application section.

•    Fill in the required details accurately in the online application form.

•    Scan and upload all mandatory documents as per the list provided.

•    After filling in all details and uploading the necessary documents, candidates need to submit the application form online.

•   Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Candidates should ensure they follow all instructions carefully and meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the apprenticeship program at GTRE.

• Commencement of online applications: 21st March 2024
• Last date of submission of online application: 9th April 2024
• Publishing first list of shortlisted candidates: 23rd April 2024 (Tentative)
• Acceptance by candidates to join GTRE as Apprenticeship Trainees: 2nd May 2024 onwards (Tentative) 
• Interaction with the shortlisted candidates who have submitted acceptance to join: 9th May 2024 onwards  (Tentative)
• Declaration of finally selected candidates: 16th May 2024 (Tentative)
• Joining date as Apprenticeship trainees at GTRE: 27th May onwards (Tentative)
