JioFiber services have apparently been stopped for several users who are still on the free preview offer. Users are claiming on the popular social media platform Twitter that their Internet services have been disconnected and they were now being ‘asked’ to migrate to paid plans to enjoy using the services.
The latest development has been reported by several users on Twitter. “Internet has been shutdown and moved to the New Plan without notice,” says Chirantan Chowdhury on Twitter. He also claims that the chat app was not working and the customer service number was getting disconnected.

“Free trial period has been stopped without any intimation. Not able to catch you people so i may talk about paid packs,” says another JioFiber user Swaran Danewalia. “Reliance Jio disconnected JioFiber without any intimation, what’s happening. Are you guys closed? No response from customer care,” says another user Raghavendra S along similar lines.
While the official account of Jio Care has not confirmed this development, they are responding to users saying “Allow us an opportunity to fix this. Please share your JioFiber ID along with your registered mobile number to get this checked.”

However, JioFiber preview offers were only being enjoyed by old customers who are now being migrated to paid plans. New JioFiber customers are being asked to choose a plan and also being provided a JioFiber set-top box along with their connection.
Users have the option to opt for Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Titanium plans based on their needs, and they can either go for monthly, 3 months, 6 months or even annual plans. “At first they told us August they may start providing set-top box. Now they are telling us in December they may start giving the same. One technician also told us the plans we chose may start getting applied around Dhirubhai Ambani’s birthday,” said a user from Delhi had told DataQuest.
Some of the OTT apps that are available on the JioFiber set-top box are Hotstar, SonyLiv, Voot, JioCinema, Zee5, SunNxt and many more OTT apps are expected to come soon.
