What is the selection procedure BIS recruitment?
The selection procedure is completed in three steps. Firstly, shortlisting of candidates is done based on valid GATE scores (for Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering) or ICAR AICE -JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) scores (for Agriculture Science).
Selected candidates will be further called for personal interviews. The final merit list will be prepared based on a combination of GATE or ICAR AICE- JRF/SRF (Ph.D) scores and interview marks.
What are the service conditions BIS recruitment?
The body has set some service conditions for the selected candidates which will be followed after recruitment.
- Selected candidates are required to furnish a surety bond for a minimum of three years.
- A probation period of two years is applicable.

How to apply for BIS recruitment?
Candidates will have to apply online through the BIS website from 14th October 2023 to 3rd November 2023. Candidates will not be charged any application fees.
The maximum age limit for candidates is 30 years as of the closing date of application which is 3 November 2023. While, age relaxation is applicable for specific categories including SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.
