New Update

Zenta, the only specialized BPO company to feature in this list, has grown significantly, to record an estimated revenue of Rs 201 crore. Both Intrepid Capital Partners and the NCO Group of the US had invested in the company. Though there were some doubts about the relationship between NCO and Zenta, after reports of planned commencement of the operations by RMH (now an NCO company), the relationship has grown.

Zenta restructured this year by bringing in a CEO of Indian operations after its CEO relocated to the US. Ex-Reuters man Aniruddha Joshi took over as the India head. Incidentally, NCO continued to contribute more than 30% of Zenta's topline and even had an alliance based on the build, operate, and transfer (BOT) model. The tieup with Zenta was NCO's first international alliance, which otherwise has facilities in 82 locations across the globe. The company diversified beyond financial services into collection work in innovative areas like fund raising for charitable organizations in the US. Nevertheless, in the collections space, Zenta developed expertise even in complex processes like skip tracing and offline decision support systems. In terms of ramping up operations, Zenta opened one more center in Mumbai as well as doubled its headcount during the year.
