It was an eventful year for India's second largest homegrown PC brand, with
desktop unit sales going up by 11% as Zenith utilized its refurbished Goa
manufacturing facility to the hilt. However, it was in notebooks that Zenith
showed real innovation-not only did it triple its sale in unit volumes, it
also launched seven models calling it the "power of seven" and priced
them aggressively between Rs 35K and Rs 60K. Outside of India, Zenith bagged
some exports mandate to Bangladesh and other SAARC countries.
