Launches and creating the right marketing hype aptly describes Zenith.
Fiscal 2003 saw a slew of product announcements throughout the year. In
September 2003 came “Topper,”a laptop specially designed for use by
students and teachers. Closely behind in the same month came the launch of
the 64-bit Premium PCs sporting AMD Athlon 64-bit CPUs. Specific channel
incentives were worked out to support the product. Immediately after
these, to cash in on the festive season, came five models of attractively
priced PCs with Windows XP preloaded. Then came the Centrino-based
notebooks in December 2003. All this ensured that Zenith grew shade above
the industry average of 24%.
Sold over 2500 notebooks and nearly 28000
desktops, most of which were newly introduced products
