Yubi appoints Ex-ICICI bank economist, Dr Sudarshan Bhattacharjee, as principal economist

Yubi says that Dr Sudarshan specialises in macroeconomics, scenario development, banking, public policy, microeconomics, econometrics, and analytics among others

Yubi (formerly CredAvenue), has announced the appointment of Dr. Sudarshan Bhattacharjee as its Principal Economist in Mumbai. In his new role, Sudarshan will lead the charter of establishing Yubi's thought leadership in debt markets by regularly publishing its views on the macro environment, fiscal/monetary policies, sectoral developments, and global issues. Moreover, he will be responsible for keeping teams informed of various government policies and regulations that may directly impact the company.

Dr. Sudarshan has over 15 years of professional expertise in banking, credit ratings, regulators, think tanks, and other fields. He specialises in economic research and holds a wealth of knowledge in macroeconomics, public policy, financial markets, competition law, and other areas. He led the domestic economic research unit during his last stint at ICICI Bank. As a corporate researcher, he has produced numerous high-impact research papers featured in several peer-reviewed journals listed in ABDC, Ebsco, Sage, University Grants Commission (India), and so on. He has also been associated with the Central Bank of India, CRISIL, Royal Bank of Scotland Business and Genpact, among others previously. Sudarshan has a master's degree in economics from the University of Hyderabad and a doctorate in economics from the University of Mumbai.
