YatraGenie launches City Taxi services in Bangalore

YatraGenie, a bus ticketing and cab booking platform has launched City taxi and outstation taxi rental services in Bangalore. YatraGenie which is one of the few government licensed radio taxi operators in the country will introduce 100 cabs within the city and 50 cabs for outstation travel to start with. In the upcoming months YatraGenie will be partnering with cab operators to introduce 1000 cabs within the city and 500 taxis for outstation travel.

On the occasion, Renil Komitla, President and CEO, YatraGenie said “The growing demand for city taxi and outstation taxi services in Bengaluru has prompted us to venture into this market. The Taxi service market is projected to significantly grow in the coming years. Clearly the market is underserved and there is still room for new players that can innovate and serve customers better, not just in metro cities but also in two tier cities. By the end of 2015, YatraGenie will set up operations in 65 cities and towns with an inventory of 25,000 cabs”

Bookings can be done via the online portal www.yatragenie.com and also through android based mobile devices using the YatraGenie app. Apart from web and app bookings, customers can reach out to the call centre by dialling 080 20 20 20 20.

The city taxi service will be charged at Rs 100 for first 6 kilometers and Rs 15 per extra kilometer. Apart from Bangalore, YatraGenie has already launched services in Nellore, Tirupati, Gudur, Kavali and Vijayawada.

YatraGenie will also launch its services in Guntur, Rajahmundry and Vishakhapatnam by end of March, 2015. With the addition of new centers Yatragenie.com will be a one stop destination for both bus and car travel booking services for entire costal Andhra Pradesh region.

Now commuters can book a mix of Cab and Bus services for home pickup and destination drop at home from www.yatragenie.com.
