Xebia, Quantum University Launch BTech Course with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Xebia Academy Global, the education business unit of Xebia that provides certification and training courses on emerging technologies, has recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Quantum University, Roorkee to offer BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Xebia will support Quantum University in designing the academic curriculum, faculty training, and will help in internship and placement facilitation to those who successfully complete the course and qualify the criterion. The B.Tech programme with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will be high-impact coursework entailing fundamental to advanced techniques of Computing, Machine Learning algorithms, and Deep Learning. The programme will be offered this academic session, that is, 2019-20.

Dr. Vivek Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Quantum University and Anand Sahay, CEO, Xebia signed the agreement in the presence of Ajay Goel, Chairman, Quantum University, Brijesh Kohli, Director, Xebia Academy Global and other senior functionaries.

Highlighting the importance of latest technologies in the present scenario, Ajay Goel, the Chairman of Quantum University, said “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning has become ubiquitous, and these technologies are making a huge impact on our everyday lives. From detecting fraudulent activity and expediting transaction requests in banking to making our homes and cities smarter and the way patients receive healthcare with faster diagnosis and accurate prognosis—AI is transforming the way we work.”

The specialized B.Tech programme is aimed at equipping the students with technical knowledge and skills and driving innovation in the industry. On this, Dr. Vivek Kumar, VC, Quantum University commented, “AI is the future. That’s why it is important for our generation to learn the applicable tools and technologies. This program will play a fundamental role in bridging the gap between industry and academia and guide our knowledge workers in the right direction.”

Giving a relevant piece of advice to the students, Anand Sahay, CEO, Xebia shared the latest industry trends and skills that students must develop. He believes that it’s important for the students to keep themselves updated with the industry happenings, hone their technical skills, and contribute to open source projects.
