New Update

First, e-cards took the netizens by storm,

by making the new year a helluva electronic. Now what's so special for the Valentine's

Day? Take a guess. The Net is full of sites that could give you a plethora of greeting

cards right from love-you notes (from Cupid's kit) to cute animated characters with

musical notes to woo your valentine. If you are one of those with a 'traditional' bone,

this one's just for you . Called Simply

Valentine (set up by Rock Island Technologies) it is far from being simple when it goes

into mixing the right ingredients to woo her. You can take your pick from: Be My Valentine

(to send an online valentine to your sweetheart), Romantic Gestures (creative ways to

celebrate Valentine's Day), Poetic Expressions (classic romantic prose), Flowers and Their

Meanings (tells you what it means to give a rose), and The Language of Love (to say 'I

love you' in different languages).

all about valentine

color="#000000" size="2" face="Arial">During the Roman Empire, under the rule of Emperor

Claudius II, Rome engaged in many bloody and unpopular military campaigns. Claudius, the

Cruel (as he was known at the time), had a tough time getting soldiers to join his

military leagues. He believed that Roman men did not want to leave their families to join

his army. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. That's

when a Christian priest named Valentine came to the rescue of love in the empire.

Valentine began to secretly marry couples despite the Emperor's orders. When Claudius was

informed of these ceremonies Valentine was sent to prison where he remained until his

death on February 14 in the year 270 AD. In honor of his sacrifice for love, Valentine was

canonized. Hence St Valentine's Day on February 14th.

Now don't do something so gross that St

Valentine turns in his grave. The message is to use Internet as St Valentine's avatar and

not Claudius, the Cruel's!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
