Sheryl Sandberg once said that no industry or country can reach its full potential until women reach their full potential. This is especially true of science and technology, where women with a surplus of talent still face a deficit of opportunity. A Deloitte survey has suggested that there was a need for technology companies to renew their commitment to advancing gender diversity in the technology industry as the pandemic recedes.

However, despite these challenges, there are women in the industry who serve as a shining example for others. Since strong women inspire other women, stories of women who’ve made a mark in the IT industry need to be brought forward. Dataquest recently spoke to Preeti Singh, and information security professional who has now made it to the leadership level. Preeti has been in the industry for over 15 years, and has been associated with companies like HCL Technologies, Aviva and Axis Risk Consulting in the past.
