Will you buy the Blackberry premium smartphone, Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite at Rs 99,990?

Aiming to claim its own spot in the fast growing smartphone market, Blackberry has announced the availability of a premium phone, the Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite smartphone.

"With the launch of the new P'9983 Graphite from BlackBerry, we bring a unique stylish smartphone combined with the superior productivity and ultimate security experience of BlackBerry 10 technology for our Indian consumers. This new smartphone is custom-built for power professionals aiming to make a style statement while not willing to compromise on effective communication and collaboration” said Hitesh Shah, director - sales and distribution, at BlackBerry India.

The smartphone includes a premium stereo headset, an international charging kit, a polishing cloth and a USB cable for high-speed data transfer. This phone is exclusively designed by Porsche Design while BlackBerry has designed its keyboard with specially crafted glass-like keys.

In terms of features, the phone features:

* 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM

* Internal storage at 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card

* 8MP rear camera with a 2MP front facing camera

* Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE

* Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI with a 2100 mAh battery.

As the phone has the BlackBerry 10 platform, it comes with standard features such as BBM, BlackBerry Assistant, BlackBerry Blend, BlackBerry Hub and BlackBerry Assistant.

Blackberry says that the premium phone provides an exclusive Porsche Design PIN ID group - 2AAXXXXX, that makes a person recognizable among other Porsche Design users.
