Reach technologies is a leader in IT solutions for the global soft goods
industry, offers pre-packaged products, custom solutions, BPO, consulting
services and offshore development facilities to its clients. Reach Solutions
enables soft goods retailers, brands, designers and manufacturers compress
mind-to-market times faster and more economically than with traditional
solutions in the market.
What is the current market for IT applications in the soft goods industry?
According to a recent AC Nielsen Study on IT Application in clothing
industry, the market worth is about Rs 350 crore. India's share in exports is
about $9 bn globally and in domestic market the IT spends is about $20 bn. The
study indicates that the market is expected to grow to $25 bn by 2010 globally.
Reach Technologies would leverage on the growth and is offering ERP for
manufacturing sector in the SMB segment, on the Microsoft Dynamics platform.
What would be the USP of Reach Technologies?
Our USP would be to cater to mid-market segment as well as for largest
support for implementation, which invariably has a direct impact on the cost
structure, thus increasing the profitability of the company. We have a good
products range, and the expertise to offer project implementation and delivery
capabilities. The price points against potential competitor also act as an
advantage for us.
In revenue terms, what has been the performance of Reach Technologies and
what contributes to growth?
Last fiscal, we were at $4 mn, and by 2009 we would emerge as $70-100 mn
company, with products constituting 80% of the revenue and services taking the
20% share.
How do you plan to grow in India and elsewhere?
We are now strong on the pre-sales and post-sales support on process. To
leverage on this incremental growth on the 'Hockey-stick' model we are now
concentrating on building a partner ecosystem in 30 countries.
