The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch its first mission after the Chandrayaan 2, and provisions have been made for viewers to watch the ISRO PSLV-C47 launch live online. The PSLV-C47 mission will launch the Cartosat-3 and 13 other commercial nanosatellites into Sun Synchronous orbit, and the rocket will take off at 9:28 am IST on 27 November 2019 from the second launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota.

As of now, the propellant filling of the second stage of PSLV-C47 has commenced. The 26 hours countdown for the launch of the PSLV-C47 mission commenced on 26 November 2019 at 07:28 am (IST). Cartosat-3 satellite is a third-generation agile advanced satellite having high-resolution imaging capability. Potential uses of the Cartosat-3 satellite include weather mapping, cartography or army defence, and strategic applications.

PSLV-C47 will also carry 13 commercial nano-satellites from the United States of America as part of a commercial arrangement with New Space India Limited (NSIL), Department of Space, said ISRO. The launch was initially scheduled to take place on 25 November 2019 but was, however, postponed by two days to 27 November 2019.

While arrangements have been made for viewers to watch the ISRO PSLV-C47 launch live from the view gallery in SDSC Sriharikota, ISRO enthusiasts from across the country can watch the launch online.

Viewers will be able to watch the ISRO PSLV-C47 launch live online on the official ISRO website, the Twitter handle of ISRO, ISRO’s YouTube page, and also on ISRO’s " target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook page. Viewers can also watch the live telecast on Doordarshan and its YouTube page as well. The live telecast begins from 9:00 am IST onwards on 27 November 2019.
