Watch ISRO Launch Live, LVM3 Rocket to Carry OneWeb Satellites

Viewers interested to watch ISRO launch live can do so on 26 March 2023, as the LVM3 launch vehicle is all set to carry OneWeb satellites into space. OneWeb India-2 mission will take place at 9:00 AM IST from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota.

 This is the second launch mission for Network Access Associates Limited, United Kingdom (OneWeb Group Company) under a commercial agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) to launch 72 satellites to Low-Earth Orbits. The first set of 36 satellites was launched in LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1 mission on 23 October 2022.

About the LVM3 ISRO Launch

LVM3 is a heavy lift launcher of the Indian Space Research Organisation with a successful track record of five successive launches till date. As part of a commercial arrangement between OneWeb and NSIL, 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites would be launched into 450 km circular low earth orbit (Osculating) with an inclination of 87.4°.

OneWeb is a global communication network powered from space, enabling connectivity for governments, businesses, and communities. It is implementing a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. India’s Bharti Enterprises serves as a major investor and shareholder in OneWeb. The organisation has a total constellation of 618 satellites, and OneWeb will soon be ready to roll out its global coverage. As far as LVM3 is concerned, this would be its sixth flight after five consecutive successful missions, including the Chandrayaan-2 mission.
