ISACA, a global association at the Insights 2013 conference in Berlin, announced its 2013-2014 Board of Directors today.
India's R Vittal Raj, partner of M/s. Kumar & Raj and director at Pristine Consulting Private Limited, was elected international vice president of ISACA.
Founded in 1969,serves 110,000 IT governance, assurance, risk and security professionals in 180 countries. ISACA administers the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) designations. The association also developed and continually updates COBIT, the internationally accepted framework for governance and management of enterprise IT. The latest version, COBIT 5, was released last year.
Over the last 25 years, Raj has directed projects in the areas of IT governance, information security, IT assurance, enterprise risk management and risk-based internal audits. He has served as advisor to boards and senior management on IT governance, cyber law and risk management strategies. An ISACA member for more than 15 years, he is currently a member of ISACA's India Growth Task Force. He also has served as a member of ISACA's Knowledge Management and Education Committee and Asia-Pacific CACS Program Development Task Force, and as director of certification and past president of the ISACA Chennai Chapter.

In addition to Raj, 10 other business and IT leaders were selected to serve on the 2013-2014 ISACA Board of Directors. Tony Hayes,appointed Deputy Director-General of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services in the Queensland Government (Australia), was elected international president.Allan Boardman, information risk manager at Morgan Stanley (UK); Juan Luis assistant director of IT at Walmart de Mexico y Centro America (Mexico); Ramsés Gallego, Six Sigma Black Belt, security strategist and evangelist at Dell Software (Spain); Theresa Grafenstine, inspector general of the US House of Representatives (USA); Jeff Spivey, president of Security Risk Management Inc. (SRM) and strategy advisor for RiskIQ (USA); and Marc Vael, chief audit executive at Smals vzw (Belgium)were elected as international vice presidents;
Three directors were appointed to ISACA's board: Christos Dimitriadis, Ph.D. head of information security for INTRALOT Group (Greece); Krysten McCabe, senior manager in the Assurance and Advisory Management Program at The Home Depot; and Jo Stewart-Rattray, director of information security and IT assurance at BRM Holdich.
