In these last two years, we have completely transformed the way we communicate, the way we collaborate, and the way we interact with each other. It is touching each and every phase of our life in some form or the other, whether it is in our personal or professional life. In India, what has happened in the last two years the organizations and individuals who were averse to adopting these kinds of technologies were forced to do so and have realized the benefits.

We Indians are good at innovating things, as they call it in their Indian language, jugaad, to take it to the next level. MeitY and NASSCOM are working together to develop a hundred small towns for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry where they are trying to get employment into those towns. That’s the strength India has. Video has suddenly become the new audio. That’s the transformation journey that has happened over the last two years.

Hybrid is here to stay…

Usage is cutting across all sectors like automobiles, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Healthcare, education, banking, KYC… The New Normal is working from anywhere, any place, any time, and on any device. What is work? Work is no longer an office but has suddenly now become a space because now you are working and collaborating in the space with people. The thought process has changed. That’s why hybrid is here to stay.

The importance of privacy and security

People have not started realizing and waking up to the fact that privacy and security are extremely important. It is no longer a fact that you can set up a meeting without a password and share the URL on social media. People on social media are locking their profiles and preventing downloads and are careful about accepting invites. But more needs to be done both by the user and collaboration service providers like ourselves. It has to be a partnership between the end-user and the service provider.
