Post recession, what are the trends in the OPD industry
in India?
Post recession, we are witnessing growth in the OPD space. India is
considered as a strong player in the OPD space. Key drivers being our strong
product engineering alignment, domain focus and enablement of best practices to
derive more value for the customers. Today, we are witnessing more ownership of
legacy products out of India, sustenance of mature products and demand for
professional services and product support.
Talent pool is one aspect which GlobalLogic heavily
focuses on. What are the recruitment plans of the company in 2010?
For software services companies focusing in the OPD space, it is all the
more important in recruiting the right talent pool. In GlobalLogic, we not only
focus on bringing aboard resources with the right technology/domain skills, but
also ensure that there is a alignment with our culture and our core values. This
year, we have aggressive growth plans for all the countries where we have
presence, including India. GlobalLogic has created a network of global
innovation hubs in the US, India, Ukraine, China and Argentina that involve more
than 3,000 of the most innovative software minds. Connecting GlobalLogics hubs
and clients is Velocity, an award-winning platform that cultivates rapid agile
collaboration.
GlobalLogic recently acquired Cubika. What benefits do
you see after this acquisition?
Cubika is the recent most addition to the GlobalLogic family. Founded in 2000,
Cubika has a team of more than 200 technology professionals located in product
delivery centers in Buenos Aires, Mendoza and La Plata. Cubika has expertise in
Flex, SOA, Java and .NET technologies. They specialize in building software
products for the media, entertainment, telecom and finance markets. We believe
that this partnership is a combination of Cubikas talented workforce from Latin
America and Velocity, creating an innovation hub for R&D software products. We
are also expecting that the revenues and the headcount for these centers would
increase by 40% in the first year.
Which verticals/markets is GlobalLogic presently
