Vaccine registration below 45 years will soon begin on the CoWIN portal, UMANG app and Aarogya Setu. All citizens above the age of 18 years will be eligible to get themselves registered for the COVID-19 vaccination. Some of the photo ID cards that can be used for registration are Aadhaar card, driver’s license, PAN card, passport, pension passbook, or NPR smart card.

However, the Government of India has just issued a few important details with regard to the vaccination drive. “As the COVID Vaccine registration starts for citizens above 18 years today at 4 PM (28th April 2021), here’s some important information you should know about,” tweeted the official account of MyGovIndia. The following are some of the important details citizens need to note:

  • Appointment for age 18 to 44 is based on slots made available by the private vaccination centers as well as the respective state government.
  • The minimum age for each vaccination center is displayed with the name of the vaccination center. Appointment slots are available where the age displayed is 18+.
  • More Appointment slots will soon be offered. If slots are not currently available, please check again after sometime, said MyGovIndia while requesting the patience and understanding of citizens.
