What is happening in the LPO (Legal Process Outsourcing) space? Are you seeing increasing interest in outsourcing legal services?
We recently completed a strategic review of our business and have gone back to our shareholders and told them we are bullish about the market. Our conclusion is that we are in a robust market, economies are recovering and we will continue to see growth. Overall the LPO market has been seeing significant growth particularly within the US, UK, and Australia.
It is worth noting that LPO focuses on the specific outsourcing of legal work, such as litigation document review, and that while law firms may also outsource other functions such as IT and HR, these are examples of BPO, not LPO.
Like BPO, the LPO model is still largely about labour arbitrage, but we are also seeing increasing interest in integrating automation and process re-design, often with greater emphasis on collaboration between law firms, corporate counsel, and Integreon. We are working more closely together than ever with many law firms to jointly offer comprehensive solutions to corporate clients.
