Scaler has introduced a new 12-month online Postgraduate Program (PGP) in Business and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The company is backing the initiative with a Rs 50 crore investment over the next two years to expand reach, build industry partnerships, and strengthen practical learning resources. The program is positioned as a modern alternative to a traditional MBA, blending business education with strong exposure to AI tools and digital decision-making.

A response to shifting expectations in management education

In recent years, many learners have begun looking for business programs that offer deeper exposure to technology. Research from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) shows the trend clearly. Nearly half of all prospective MBA candidates now consider AI education essential. The survey also highlights a steady rise in demand for specialised, skills-focused business master’s programs, especially among early-career talent and professionals preparing for leadership roles.

Yet, 16% of business schools still have no AI curriculum. This gap between learner expectations and traditional offerings has opened space for programs built around real-world skills. Scaler says its new PGP aims to fill that space with a structure that places applied learning at the center.

Inside the 12-month learning path

Scaler’s program begins with a two-month foundation in management basics such as structural thinking, data analysis, business communications, and supply chain. Learners then move into a four-month management module covering operations, strategy, finance, marketing, and economics.

A one-month AI fundamentals phase introduces the workings of modern AI, including transformers and embeddings, along with guidance on using AI safely. The final three-month specialisation ties AI applications to product management, operations, marketing, and commercial finance.

The program concludes with a two-month capstone project sourced from Scaler’s enterprise partners. These projects focus on practical business problems across areas such as digital operations, customer intelligence, and go-to-market strategy.

“A national need,” says Scaler

“The definition of a management leader has changed. Today’s leaders must pair strong business fundamentals with fluency in data, technology, and AI-led decision-making,” said Abhimanyu Saxena, co-founder of Scaler and InterviewBit. He added that the company is committing significant resources because the demand for such talent is growing quickly.

Built for professionals navigating digital change

Scaler’s pitch for the PGP focuses on practical preparation. The curriculum includes weekly assignments, case studies from global companies, decision labs, and simulations. Learners also have access to Scaler’s AI-powered learning assistant and sessions with leaders from top organisations. Career support includes mentors from different domains, founder networks, demo days, and AI-supported mock interviews.

The company believes this model matches global shifts in management training. According to the AMBA–BGA Report 2025, part-time and modular management programs have already grown 5% in enrollments worldwide, with digital-first formats becoming the norm.
