Panasonic opens applications for Ignition 3.0

Panasonic Life Solutions India and Panasonic Corporation have launched the third edition of their corporate innovation accelerator, Panasonic Ignition. The programme, run in collaboration with Beyond Next Ventures (BNV), invites early to mid-stage startups to apply with ideas that can transform the residential living ecosystem. Applications are open until September 15, 2025.

Ignition 3.0 is focused on advancing technologies in smart homes, personal wellness, sustainable living, energy efficiency, connected devices, and community-driven digital services. The four-month accelerator, running from September to December 2025, offers startups structured mentorship, masterclasses, product strategy guidance, and potential investment through Panasonic’s KURASHI Visionary Fund (PKVF).

Highlighting the company’s approach, Kunio Gohara, Chief Transformation Officer and Head of CVC Office, Panasonic Corporation, said the programme builds on the success of earlier editions. “Through Ignition 3.0, we look forward to harnessing entrepreneurial agility and our industry expertise to co-create real-world impact. This programme not only fuels open innovation but also opens doors to strategic investment opportunities.”

Echoing the vision,Manish Misra, Chief Innovation Officer, Panasonic Life Solutions India, described the accelerator as a catalyst for strengthening India’s startup ecosystem. “With Cohort 3, we aim to engage with startups passionate about transforming residential living—whether through smart home solutions, sustainable energy, or digital consumer experiences.”

BNV, which continues as Venture Partner, brings its cross-border expertise to the table. Tsuyoshi Ito, CEO and Managing Partner, Beyond Next Ventures, said, “Our mission is to empower tech-driven entrepreneurs and nurture DeepTech leaders. Through Ignition 3.0, we aim to bridge India’s thriving startup ecosystem with Japan’s technological networks.”

The second edition of Ignition drew over 160 applications, of which 12 startups were mentored and two, Nosh and RayIoT, were declared winners. Building on that momentum, the new edition seeks to strengthen collaboration between Panasonic and India’s startup ecosystem while expanding opportunities for DeepTech innovation with BNV’s global reach.
