NIIT Learning Systems Limited’s Managed Training Services arm has entered into a strategic partnership with Abodoo to deliver what the companies describe as next-generation skills intelligence and workforce development solutions.

The partnership brings together NIIT MTS’ managed learning and consulting capabilities with Abodoo’s skills intelligence platform. The combined offering is aimed at enterprises that are struggling to keep pace with shifting skill requirements in an AI-driven economy.

At the centre of the collaboration is Abodoo’s live skills layer, which is designed to sit across learning, workforce, and talent systems. Powered by its SkillsAI engine and an ontology covering more than 55,000 skills, the platform helps organisations build a shared skills language and track capability gaps as they emerge.

Linking learning systems with live skills data

Under the partnership, NIIT MTS will integrate Abodoo’s technology stack, including SkillSuite, Skills Agent, and SkillsAI, into its managed learning and human capital management (HCM) services. The goal is to allow enterprises to map, measure, and develop skills continuously, rather than relying on static job roles or periodic assessments.

Rather than replacing existing platforms such as learning management systems (LMS), human resource information systems (HRIS), or applicant tracking systems (ATS), Abodoo’s platform sits above them. This approach connects fragmented data and activates skills information across systems already in use.

Combined with NIIT MTS’s experience in large-scale learning operations and HCM technology, the companies say the model allows organisations to embed skills intelligence directly into their current ecosystems.

Focus on AI readiness and workforce agility

A key part of the collaboration will be helping enterprises assess how ready their workforce is for AI-led change. As part of the offering, NIIT MTS and Abodoo will provide a Skills AI Readiness Report, which is intended to inform the broader workforce and transformation strategies.

The partnership also includes joint webinars, thought leadership initiatives, and client-facing programs focused on skills-first transformation. These efforts are aimed at helping organisations move faster in closing skills gaps and improving workforce agility.

“Skills are the currency of the future, and this partnership marks a significant milestone in our commitment to workforce development,” said DJ Chadha, Chief Customer Officer at NIIT MTS. He added that combining managed learning and consulting services with skills intelligence technology can help enterprises close capability gaps at scale.

Vanessa Wainwright, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Abodoo, said the partnership would bring live skills intelligence into the core of enterprise transformation. She noted that the collaboration would help organisations move beyond traditional job and qualification models toward more agile, skills-first workforces.
