Unigroup Spreadtrum Collaborates with Emerging Brand Senwa on 4G Smartphones

Spreadtrum Communications (“Spreadtrum”), the fabless semiconductor company with advanced technology in 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless communication standards, today announced that its LTE chipset platform, the SC9832, had been adopted by the up and coming Latin American mobile phone brand Senwa Mobile. Three high-performance smartphones powered by SC9832, the LS5, LS50 and LS55, have already marched into the channel of Mexican operator Telcel, and will be in the market in December 2017!

All three of the jointly released mobile phones are 4G version that support VoLTE and ViLTE services, precisely focusing on the urgent needs of increased smartphone consumption in Latin American markets. Senwa LS5, LS50 and LS55, are designed with Spreadtrum's 28nm 1.3GHz Quad-code ARM Cortex-A7 5-mode SoC platform SC9832. Based on Android 7.0 operating system, all three models aims to provide consumers with a cost effective solution with optimizing user experience. The LS50 is featuring 5.0 inch FWVGA screen, 5MP AF main camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and battery capacity of 2000mAh. The LS5 is a slim model featuring 5.0 inch HD screen, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 13MP AF main camera and battery of 2000mAH. The LS55 is a premium model featuring a 5.5 inch HD screen, 8MP AF main camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and battery capacity of up to 2800mAh, meanwhile supporting the finger print technology.
