Udacity has recently announced its association with LetzConnect, a Chennai-based edtech platform facilitating skill development opportunities for university and college students in India. The deal worth USD 10 million will enable the Silicon Valley-based platform to tap LetzConnect’s expansive network and extend its lifelong learning resources to college and university students and enhance their employability.

Skill-gap has emerged as a major concern for students, professionals, and businesses alike in today’s technologically-transforming world. While the awareness of the need for upskilling and re-skilling to thrive in the modern jobs landscape is slowly blooming across the country, the emergence of technology experts is yet to catch up with the emergence of AI-centric job roles.

The partnership is aimed at enabling Indian students to acquire and upgrade skills in cutting-edge technologies and assume high-growth job roles of the future that will continue to be in-demand throughout 2020 and beyond.
