Reports by Economic Times says that NR Narayan Murthy, chairman, Infosys, was heard saying that Ashok Vemurihad quit his office because he wanted to be the CEO of a company as soon as possible, and he got that opportunity.

Its a bit surprising that Vemuri, who worked in Infosys for 15 years and was one of the top contenders for the position of the CEO, couldn't wait till Shibulal's retirement in 2015.
