Dell Tech Forum

Yet again, the #DellTechForum knocked it out of the park by presenting a vivid picture of the next in innovation. The annual tech confluence’s India edition made some inspiring strokes, right at the beginning, with the Keynote Sessions.

Led by Anand Ganapathy, Vice President Enterprise, Dell Technologies India, the Keynote highlighted how the do-from-anywhere economy demands organizations to build breakthroughs at the perfect intersection of people and technology. It was indeed enlightening to hear insights from Dell Technologies’ largest global owned study till date - The Breakthrough Study. Some of the mind-boggling statistics presented were ‘90% of all respondents envisage the shift to distributed work creating a more inclusive working environment’ and ‘73% say they might be left behind because they don’t have the right technology’.

Work today is an outcome, not a fixed location, and businesses must democratize work for people with varying needs, interests, and capabilities. As Mr. Ganapathy captured the idea brilliantly, “Always remember, digital transformation happens with people, not to them.”

However, the spotlight of the session truly was India’s transformation story and Dell’s role in pivoting this growth. It was quite enthralling to see how Indian businesses across sectors are emerging as the innovation powerhouses of the world. Few remarkable numbers from the session say it all. The Indian tech industry has a presence in 100+ countries, draws employees from over 150 nationalities, and as of July 2022, India is home to as many as 105 unicorns.

With India well on the path to becoming a $1Tn digital economy, the second Keynote session by Tian Beng, Senior Vice President & General Manager - Channels, Asia Pacific & Japan, Dell Technologies, underpinned Dell’s continual commitment to bet big on emerging technologies and trends to empower customers and partners in a hyper dynamic age.

Reiterating what constitutes the foundation of Dell’s future-forward strategy:

  • Dell’s unique ‘multi-cloud by design’ and not ‘multi-cloud by default’ approach, APEX (multi-cloud as-a-Service), and other multi-cloud innovations
  • A slew of innovative products for the new era of hybrid work
  • A comprehensive portfolio of edge products and solutions for a diverse set of industry-specific needs
  • Elements of modern enterprise security, including Zero Trust paradigm, cyber recovery plan, and a secure supply chain and trusted partner ecosystem

With all these insights, I now look forward to attending the Fireside Chat and Women in Technology sessions, as it would be exhilarating to take a glimpse into the digital future with industry leaders and meet women pioneers breaking the barriers of entrepreneurial roles.

Can’t wait for the Celebrity Chat either, with the ‘God of the Offside’, the legendary Sourav Ganguly.

I’m also super excited about the Breakout Tracks that will shed light on new-age technology trends like Multi-cloud as-a-Service, Future of Work, Modern Data Center and Edge, and Security, and show us what the next wave of innovation will look like.

Dell is also upping the ante this year for startups with unique initiatives like Startup Café and Dell Designathon. I’m really looking forward to see the next-gen technology solutions that the startups will unveil and to know the winners of the innovative Designathon challenge.

Like every year, I’m sure to take back some amazing ideas, perspectives and visions from the Dell Tech Forum on what’s defining our future.
