Telangana govt launches SpaceTech framework on Metaverse

The Telangana state government today launched a state-specific SpaceTech framework on Metaverse. The IT Minister K T Rama Rao launched the framework on a Metaverse platform.

Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary, Govt of Telangana, want to build an ecosystem where Indians build advanced tech for spacetech in India. The aim is also for Telangana state to become end to end manufacturing hub for design, testing and launch "as the private industry builds system level integration capacity."

Ranjan stated the framework objective is to become global SpaceTech hub, foster SpaceTech startups, attract global investments and partners, boost space related manufacturing and become testbed for remote sensing applications.

The event hosted by PartyNite Metaverse also had an award ceremony, which can later be minted as NFTs.

S Somnath, Chairman of ISRO, Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI AayogPawan Kumar Goenka, Chairperson designate for INSPACe, Dept of Space, GOI, Rama Devi Lanka, Director of Emerging Tech, Telangana State were also present at the launch.
