Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation services, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create a cutting-edge sports cloud platform. This collaboration aims to enhance digital capabilities for sports organizations, providing immersive and personalized experiences for global sports enthusiasts. The initiative stems from a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) signed in September 2023, solidifying the commitment of both organizations to bring fans closer to sports action through innovative solutions. The SCA facilitates Tech Mahindra's access to AWS resources, fostering joint go-to-market efforts and mutual business growth.

The rising demand for an enriched sports fan experience, coupled with the increased adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) for efficient stadium management, and the growing appetite for data-driven insights in the sports industry, is poised to drive the overall expansion of sports technology. In response to this trend, Tech Mahindra and AWS are collaborating to deliver a comprehensive digital platform for sports organizations. This platform will encompass various use cases, including content and community engagement, customer data management, audience segmentation, and sports analytics. The collaboration will leverage augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and metaverse gamification to provide immersive stadium-to-home fan experiences. Additionally, the cloud offering will empower sports organizations to enhance digital properties, generate new revenue streams, and develop tailored services and features to meet audience needs.

Tech Mahindra is set to implement its sports cloud solution, amplifying the digital capabilities of sports leagues, franchises, and organizations, with a focus on delivering immersive and personalized experiences for global fans. One notable collaboration in this endeavor is with Punjab Kings, a professional cricket franchise based in India. Together, they aim to elevate fan engagement by seamlessly integrating content, community, and commerce.

Tech Mahindra's sports cloud, utilizing AWS, the leading cloud platform, incorporates real-time analytics, AI, ML, and high-performance computing for AR/VR. Powered by AWS native services, including Elemental MediaLive and MediaConvert, along with Kinesis Data Streams and Amazon Managed Blockchain, the platform processes high volumes of digital data in real time. Leveraging Amazon SageMaker, Tech Mahindra enables AR/VR experiences, such as virtual stadium tours and live events, offering fans an elevated and immersive sports experience.
