TCS has shown a growth of 5.6% in its net profit for the quarter ended
December 31, 2005 at Rs 753 crore compared to Rs 713 crore posted during the
same quarter last year. Total revenues of the company for the third quarter
stood at Rs 3288 crore, a growth of 28% over the total revenues of Rs 2553 crore
posted during the same period last year. Sequentially, TCS has shown a growth of
8.56% in its net profit and total revenues have shown an increase of 11.08% for
the same period. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) went up from Rs 14.45 in Q2 to Rs
15.69 in Q3. TCS also added 83 new customers in Q3 and acquired companies like
FNS in Australia and Comicrom in Chile. The company also announced a third
interim dividend of Rs 3 per share.
