TCS NQT 2021 Registration Link Reopens, Here Are the Variants of the National Qualifier Test

TCS NQT 2021 registration has been reopened for undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma students in their pre-final and final year as well as for freshers with less than two years of experience. The registrations are underway for National Qualifier Tests that are scheduled to be held on 1 and 13 May 2021. NQT scores are considered by various leading corporate companies while hiring freshers and graduate students.

TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT) is basically a nationwide test conducted by TCS iON, which assesses the capabilities of job-seekers on their readiness for getting a job based on their cognitive ability, industry awareness and deep knowledge in specialised skills relevant to the industry. The test aims at mobilising top talent across tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 cities and colleges.

TCS NQT 2021 Variants

Applicants can choose from the following variants of the National Qualifier Test based on their areas of expertise:

TCS NQT Cognitive Skills: This variant is a general ability test that aims at testing a participant’s verbal ability – English grammar; reasoning ability -  identifying words and numeric patterns, problem-solving, figural and factual analysis, decision-making, propositional reasoning and visual-spatial reasoning; and numerical ability - number system, arithmetic, elementary statistics, data interpretation.

Attitudinal Alignment NQT: This test requires for participants to take the TCS NQT Cognitive Skills as a prerequisite. The test assesses the attitude alignment framework relevant for entry-level positions and provides an assessment report.

Industry NQT: This test gauges the participant’s awareness and understanding on a specific industry in the areas of industry structure including domains or sub-domains; operative language, processes and practices; regulatory environment; specific business and technological trends; and competitive landscape.

Subject NQT: Participants are assessed in the areas of Pseudocode, Algorithms, Programming constructs, basic Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its stage-wise documents, implementation using C, C++, Java and so on.
