TCS iON Opens Registrations for National Qualifier Test for Fresher Recruitment: All You Need to Know

TCS iON will conduct the National Qualifier Test to help freshers get recruited and also to provide corporates with access to qualified talent

TCS iON is currently accepting registrations for the National Qualifier Test (NQT) for fresher recruitment. The strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services has also announced that the National Qualifier Test will now be a common gateway test for several participating corporates for their fresher recruitment programs. Through NQT, TCS aims to provide a common platform for fresh job seekers to find jobs in their dream company while helping corporates get an in-depth understanding of applicants’ cognitive abilities, and reduce evaluation overheads.

“With the launch of this unique National Qualifier Test, we are giving millions of young jobseekers an opportunity to work for India’s top corporates. This high-quality standardized test will provide subscribing corporates with a well-rounded evaluation of candidates’ abilities, and access to quality talent across the nation at speed and scale,” said Venguswamy Ramaswamy, global head, TCS iON.

Who can Apply for TCS iON National Qualifier Test?

The test will be suitable for candidates looking for job opportunities across leading organizations in IT, BFSI, manufacturing, pharma, and FMCG sectors, including TCS. TCS campus hiring 2021 is also being conducted at present for freshers for which NQT is a prerequisite. The following candidates can take NQT:

  • Young professionals with up to two years of experience
  • Students from any stream, currently enrolled in pre-final or final year of undergraduate or postgraduate programs.

The test can be taken by applicants from their homes or from a TCS iON center nearest to them. The first test being held from 24 to 26 October 2020 can be taken free of cost, and the NQT scores will be valid for two years.

What the TCS iON National Qualifier Test will Asses?

National Qualifier Test will assess the following competencies and skills to generate an associated score:

  • Competence on the core cognitive processes required for entry-level jobs.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and insights.
  • Specialisation on skills required for performing the job role.
