Tata Elxsi

Bangalore-based Tata Elxsi, the product design arm of the Tata Group, saw its overseas investments, which included a new office in Germany, paying off this year. After two years of negative growth, Tata Exlsi's turned the corner driven by a widening customer portfolio. Like the rest of the sector, much of this came during the last quarter of the fiscal. The animation division of the company, rechristened as Visual Computing Labs, contributed to the strong performance by carving out its space in the domestic advertising market and bagging at least half-a-dozen Bollywood and Hollywood projects.
