	Repositioned itself as a design company; reduced domestic focus Achieved CMMI Level 5 certification for product design workflow

Bangalore-based Tata Elxsi went through a major change of focus during the

year. The company decided to let go of a bulk of its domestic market, where

revenues slid 32%. This was a conscious decision, as the company had 66% of its

revenues from the domestic market in fiscal 2002. That now stands at just over

50%. The company also repositioned itself as a design organization and its

animation division–Mediaworks–bagged at least four Hollywood and Bollywood

projects.
