The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup (TEGC) 2023 marked a historic moment as it concluded its grand finale at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon NCR, celebrating a decade of gaming excellence and inclusivity. This 10th-anniversary event transcended the traditional gaming tournament, embracing a broader vision that recognized the positive impact of gaming on individuals and communities. TEGC evolved into a platform promoting a holistic approach to well-being, emphasizing a healthy and inclusive lifestyle for gaming enthusiasts worldwide.

From September 28 to October 22, the TEGC 2023 qualifiers screened through regular players to crown ultimate champions. During the grand finale, winning teams, including Legacy Esports and Gods Reign for Counter-Strike 2, and GodLike Esports and TWOB for Call of Duty Mobile, were awarded prizes. Some major Taiwanese gaming and lifestyle brands like AIFA, AORUS, MSI, and Republic of Gamers provided substantial support, showcasing their excellence in the gaming industry.

This year's TEGC introduced a groundbreaking competition exclusively for India's top female gamers, featuring a special match of CS 2 between two female gamer teams. The event aimed to spotlight the remarkable talents of women in esports, making a powerful statement about inclusivity and diversity within the gaming community. Additionally, TEGC aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by partnering with an NGO dedicated to educating underprivileged children, providing them with a unique and enriching experience at the finale.

Over the past 10 years, TEGC has firmly established itself as a cornerstone in India's esports landscape, witnessing a significant increase in participant numbers. The 10th edition boasted an impressive turnout with over 27,789 participants, showcasing the growing influence and popularity of esports in the country.

"TEGC has been a transformative force in India's esports landscape. We are proud to have played a pivotal role in shaping India's dynamic esports scene and fostering the talents of aspiring gamers. Taiwan Excellence will continue introducing the Best Made in Taiwan to India to enhance cooperation between the two nations," said Estela Chen, Executive Director of Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Culture Center - India, reflecting on TEGC's journey.

The grand finale featured live performances, surprises, and an immersive exploration of the gaming and innovation worlds, leaving participants revitalized and enriched. TEGC emerged as a launching pad for India's esports champions, not only contributing to the growth of esports in the nation but also serving as an inspiration for aspiring gamers, promising a future of continued innovation and elevation in the gaming landscape.
