Bannari Amman Institute of Technology

An impressive performance as compared to the last year, Bannari’s strong point in FY 18 was the placement parameter, which went up to #2 from #8 the previous year. Information available suggests that of the 1,347 students placed in FY 18, 775 were absorbed in the core industries, while 494 and 78 students were placed in IT Services and Product categories. Information available suggests that it has achieved 100% placement consecutively for the last 3 years. What is impressive is that almost 42.5% of the students were placed in the ICT sector. If one looks at the other parameter rankings, Bannari was able to secure tops slots in academic as well as industry interface- this had clearly acted as a springboard to higher placements and upped the overall performance scores of the institute during FY 2018. The institute has CoE collaborations with various industry leaders and per se in the ICT space, it has collaborations with leading players like Intel, Freescale, Cisco, Juniper among others.

B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology

Infrastructure transpired into a strong point for this institution, which climbed up impressively to #2 position in 2018 as compared to its # 13 position in 2017. While the institute secured #9 and # 8 position in industry interface and placement parameters, academic and infrastructure contributed to the betterment of the overall rankings in 2018.

Going by the survey results, if one were to do a SWOT analysis, the institution needs to leverage its academic and infrastructure capabilities to forge deeper ties with the industry leading to overall tweak in its industry interface parameters.

This will also have a positive bearing on its overall placement records as well. The courses delivered are structured around 11 Schools of study. The university spans 50.50 acres of sprawling, serene and evergreen campus. The vast campus has well-planned network comprising blocks of various departments, reading halls, classrooms, laboratories, state of the art convention center, computerized library and several playgrounds.

BVDU College of Engineering was established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam in 1983. The College is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). Which has been Accredited to A+ grade in its third Cycle by ‘NAAC’ in 2017 (BVDU accredited to Grade ‘A’ in 2004 and 2011). Looking at the rankings, this institution is a consistent performer. While the overall rankings remained unchanged, the one notable performance metric this time is the institute taking a pole position in terms of placements. Looking at other parameters, there is scope for improvement in terms of infrastructure and industry interface.

Bharati Vidyapeeth University intends to bring about social empowerment through dynamic education. It has been able to stand tall in the field of education in the past as well as in the modern times. In order to strengthen and expand the research activities in the institute, R&D cell was established and is functioning in this Institution from last several years. It is acting as the nodal center for all Research related activities.

Sathyabama’s ranking remained unchanged as compared the last year. At #4, academic, industry interface and infrastructure took the top scores. A  new entrant into the T-School survey, C. V. Raman College of Engineering calls itself as a progressive institution in Orissa. It is one of the leading institutions in the region driving high standards of technical education in the state. The institute topped in infrastructure and just managed to get into top 10 in the academic parameter.

Interestingly the institution has been accredited five times in 1998, 2004, 2008, 2013 and 2017 by NBA(AICTE) and accredited second time by NAAC(UGC) 'A' Grade in 2017.

Yet another trivia about the institute is that is also the first ISO 9001-2015certified Engineering Institute of AP & Telangana. The total constructed area is 57,714 Sq.mts (6,21,286 Sq.ft). worth about Rs 75.00 crores spread on 50.8 acres. The grants received from AICTE, UGC, DST, NSTL, DRDO and other Industries are worth about Rs. 16 crores. The college offers 9 UG and 11 PG programmes. Information available suggests that the pass percentage is consistent with 95% on an average.

This new entrant to T-School survey, Sri Krishna College of Engineering scored well on key parameters. For instance, it stood at #5 in terms of placements, #8 in terms of industry interface and #6 in terms of academic. Based out of Coimbatore, the scores posted by this college needs commendation as it is operating in a region which is highly competitive and has numerous other tech schools. Established in the year 1998 with a mission of imparting high-quality technical education to the aspiring students. This self-finance, autonomous institution is accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade (with 3.42 CGPA out of 4) and National Board of Accreditation. In terms of placements, the institute saw top companies scouting of for its talent. Prominent companies like Amazon, Capgemini, Dell, et la has participated in the campus recruit drives. And the institute’s placement cores amply evidences its clout in this parameter.
