The fastest growing SI in the east added another feather to its cap by
launching iSyn brand of PCs, laptops and UPS. The four operating companies of
the Syntech Group merged into one brand, Syntech Technologies, as a precursor to
an IPO next year. As an SI, Syntech was particularly active on the government
front-it computerized 200 schools across West Bengal and 500 police stations,
including networking the Kolkata Police HQ at Lalbazaar. Businesses from even
Bangladesh and Bhutan generated Rs 2 crore per month.
