Budding startups that are capable of solving problems using artificial intelligence, data analytics, Internet of Things and audio visual gaming have been invited to take part in the STPI Neuron Open Challenge. STPI Neuron is a Centre of Excellence in AI, data analytics, IoT and AVG that has been set up in collaboration with the Government of Punjab, ISB-Mohali, PTU and Meity.
Selected startups will be hosted at the Startup Punjab Hub at STPI, Mohali Incubation facility. Startup Punjab Hub will have dedicated 500 seats co-working space and dedicated labs for artificial intelligence, data analytics, Internet of Things and audio visual gaming. Apart from physical infrastructure, the hub will have access to Technocrats mentorship, mentorship programs and VC fundings.
The startups taking part in the STPI Neuron Open Challenge will get an opportunity to work on the problem statements present by the government, industry, academia and others OR their own innovative ideas in the focussed domains of Neuron that have been mentioned above.
25 emerging startups will be identified and selected after a multi-tier screening process, and the first three winners will be rewarded with cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000, respectively. The winners will also get an opportunity to be incubated at Neuron. The startup open challenge is being supported by various organizations such as Infosys, Google, AWS, XenonStack, HDFC Bank and many others.
Interested startups can register until 30 November 2019 on the dedicated website. There are four steps for registration, which are as follows: 1. Provide the startup details, 2. Details of the promoter, 3. What is the startup’s idea, and 4. What the startup in question requires from Neuron.
