New Update

In a latest rejig at Infosys, Sirkantan Moorthy will now take over its' HR department from Nandita Gurjar while Gautam Thakker will take over as CEO and managing director of Infosys BPO from Swami Swaminathan who is retiring after nine years in the company. Nandita Gurjar, according to the company, is stepping aside as head of human resources to oversee education and research.

If the company is to be believed, Moorthy will play a key role to lift the morale of Bangalore-based 1.5 lakh employees. Obviously the company is going through the rough weather and needed a change to revitalize its operations under the new leadership. But the fact is that it will not be an easy ride for both Moorthy and Thakkar, since the company is facing a stiff competition from rivals such as TCS, Cognizant and HCL in the global markets.

The change has happened when Infosys has revived its revenue guidance positively after the 3rd quarter results. However, the exit of several senior people from its BPO and main business shows its continuing struggle to keep its pennant high in the rough sea.
