Revenues fell as onsite billing rates slipped Net profits also same under severe pressure

Bangalore-based Span Systems saw revenues falling 36.5%. The reason–clients
moved work offshore, billing rates fell. Onsite revenues fell steeply from 74%
in the previous fiscal to 59%. Normally, this would have meant better margins
but billing pressure was fierce. Span expanded its network in Europe by tying up
with partners in Germany and Belgium. The company’s clients include Siemens
Corporate Research, AON/CISGI, SunGard and Terminix/Service Master.
