This JV company, between United Airlines and the Chatterjee Group, emerged as
the country's premier IT services player specializing in the aviation domain.
United Airlines, however, continued to be the biggest contributor; parental
dependency hovered around the 70% mark. Conscious efforts were made to de-risk
the business and significant projects came from Chinese airports, and carriers
like Lufthansa, SITA and Air India, as well as industry associations like IATA.
It developed RFID expertise for logistics and software for the hospitality
sector.
