Sify Technologies Launches Free COVID-19 Vaccination Drive for Employees Like Infosys and Other IT Companies

Sify Technologies has launched a free COVID-19 vaccination drive for its employees and immediate family members, a move expected to benefit 2000 people

Sify Technologies Limited, which is a notable ICT solutions provider, recently announced an extension of it free COVID-19 vaccination drive for its employees to also cover their immediate family. A company spokesperson confirmed the development while adding that more than 2000 families will ultimately benefit from the pan-India initiative.

The company has announced that its employees can get their elderly family members vaccinated at designated hospitals across the country immediately and themselves, now that the Indian Government has extended the facility for all citizens above 60 years of age, and also for those above 45 with co-morbid conditions.

“One of the tenets of the Sify way is always remembering that you are part of the Sify team. In rolling out this benefit, we just extended that tenet to the family,” said Raju Vegesna, chairman, said, Sify Technologies on the latest development. Apart from Sify, several other IT companies have announced a similar initiative for their employees.

Some of the other big IT companies that are covering the cost of vaccination for their employees are Infosys, Accenture and Capgemini. “Health and well-being of its colleagues is the highest priority for the company and that it will cover the cost of coronavirus vaccines of all eligible employees and their dependents in strict accordance with all government-approved protocols,” said Capgemini in a statement.

Infosys on the other hand is forming parternships with healthcare providers to vaccinate employees and their immediate families as eligible under the guidelines given by the Government of India and as per approved procedures and timelines, as per an emailed statement provided by Pravin Rao who is the chief operating officer of Infosys.
