Grew at double the industry average

Domestic revenues grew by nearly 75%


SISL's growth at nearly double the industry average owed much to the restructuring done in 2002-03, wherein it became one of the two software arms of Siemens AG globally. Subsequently, in FY04, 60% of SISL revenues came from Siemens only, while the rest was contributed from projects bid under the Siemens umbrella. While the other software entity of the group, the Austria-based Power System Engineering (PSE) primarily serviced the East European and Chinese markets, SISL forayed into the English-speaking and South American markets. The Soarian Medsuite Hospital Information System, a revenue assurance solution for telcos, a workflow solution for the BFSI industry, an engine control unit software and a car navigation system with coded access were few high-selling products launched during 2003-04. Unlike many of its peers, SISL had a fairly strong domestic focus-15% of its 2003-04 revenues came from the Indian market.
