SHRM India launched a report on Financial Well-being of employees in collaboration with Jify
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), today launched the 11th edition of its annual India conference ‘Cause the Effect’, at Hotel Taj Palace in the Capital. The two-day conference seeks to hone and innovate diverse aspects of human resource including talent, and leadership by catalysing a positive change in the workplace, through individual actions.
“The New Reality of workplaces is all about collaboration, innovation, creativity and finding opportunities in the face of toughest challenges. It’s not just about individual growth but about the collective growth of people and their organizations. Often, we can lead by example and as HR professionals, it’s critical to evaluate how we can lead our people with positive changes, keep them more engaged, value their contribution and undertake new initiatives. Each one of us can create a ripple, and together these ripples can become waves which collectively become a tsunami of change,” said Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO, SHRM India, APAC and MENA.
The conference kicked off with a keynote address by Dr Ram Charan, Business Consultant, Author, CEO Advisor. The conference will look at skill upgrades, evolving with industry changes and provide insights and best practices to continuously make a positive impact on the workplace. The conference will feature diverse speakers from different fields including, Hemang Jani Secretary at Capacity Building Commission, Government of India Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, Actor Mandira Bedi, P Dwarakanath Former Chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare and other prominent stalwarts.
Dr Ram Charan, Business Consultant, Author, CEO Advisor in a special keynote session highlighted how re-imagining the role of leaders is an important aspect of leadership success and organizational growth. He mentioned that every day, leaders actively look for ways to use their employees’ capabilities; but in the process, a bulk of organizational talent goes untapped and in order to avoid such adversity leaders should focus on learning new skills and innovations.
In a spotlight session, Independent Journalist Faye D’souza and Anisha Dossa Aibara, Co-Founder and CEO, Jify discussed how Earned Wage Access (EWA) is soon becoming a boon in the ever-changing workplace and how it is not only an easy to implement task, but also a welcome move for employees. During the session, Achal Khanna CEO SHRM India, APAC & MENA launched a report on financial wellbeing which talks about the feasibility of implementing better financial practices to improve the overall well-being of employees.
