What challenges are schools facing in terms of use of

technology?

I have found that schools are really facing challenges in two areaslack of

technology education among management and faculty members, and inadequate number

of computers. To implement an e-learning tool, the number of computers has to

become proportionate to the number of students. Also, schools should ideally

have some kind of reliable Internet connectivity.

What is the kind of IT infrastructure you have created

to deliver educational services over Internet?

We have a created a fully dedicated interactive e-learning platform, loaded

with best content from the industry. We have some of the best subject matter

experts who are constantly creating new content and upgrading the existing

content according to syllabus. It is a hosted service and thus do not require

any site based specific software or any specific hardware installation. It is

based on plug-and-play model. We have created a high-end team of technologist

with a fair experience in the platform development.

What are your expansion plans?

We have a well defined expansion plan. Under brand Educare Global Varsity,

we are preparing to launch interactive classroom sessions for students in the

schools and colleges. We have designed contents required to simplify the

understanding of the subject with the help of best teachers and multi-media

content. We are present in eight states (Delhi, Karnataka, Orrisa,

Uttar-Pradesh, Bihar, Maharastra, West Bangal, Punjab, and Haryana). And soon we

have plans of covering rest of the states of India and enter into Malaysia, the

Philippines, Indonesia and East Africa market with our offerings. We also have a

presence in Singapore.

What about the Indus Kids initiative?

We are launching Indus Kids (a daughter company of HR Biocare), Indias

first technology based play school for 360 degree development of child. I am

using some of the technologies used in the digital cinema creation which will be

the first such initiative.
